About the Speaker
John Guilfoil is a 20-year veteran of the industry, with five years in journalism and 15 years in the public relations field. His extensive experience includes leading crisis management efforts for businesses, non-profits, police and fire departments, public schools, and government agencies. He notably served as Deputy Press Secretary to Boston Mayor Thomas Menino during the 2013 Boston Marathon attacks. John is the 2015 PR News Crisis Management Professional of the Year and was awarded internationally in 2023 with the ICCO Global Awards Crisis Management Campaign of the Year for his work with municipal police departments.
